Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau Reviving Old Fairfield Lake Hillside Music & Fireworks Event with the Second Annual BALDAROO Music Festival

The Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau is picking up where the Cashiers Valley Rotary club left of when it last hosted the “Symphony Under the Stars” music/fireworks event and is working to grow this family-friendly entertainment happening with BALDAROO at Fairfield Lake, for the benefit of the community and for the Boys & Girls Club.

The featured performer is the The Kurt Thomas Band. Kurt has written/produced several albums and has most recently collaborated with Grammy Award Winning writer, Dennis Morgan on his recently released album “Give it Hell Trying”. Kurt’s win of Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star contest made him the opening act for Chesney, Brooks & Dunn, Sammy Hagar, LeAnn Rimes, Sugarland, Zac Brown Band, and other top performers. Kurt will be joined by local artists, Hurricane Creek and Jay Drummonds, with Atlanta performer Madison Chance opening the show.

The day will finish with a spectacular fireworks display over Fairfield Lake. Local vendors on site selling food under the tent on top of the hill. All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau. Tickets can be purchased on the event web site baldaroo.com, at the Boys and Girls club office, at the Cashiers Chamber of Commerce, and other locations around town. Ticket sales will be limited, so make your on-line reservations early. There are a variety of seating and parking options available: $10 for children 6-12 years, $25 for college students, $40 for adults and $75 for VIP seating. Children under 6 free! Call 828-743-2775 for more information.
